New Forest Elf are based in The New Forest National Park in Hampshire, England. We design and make natural feel jewellery. Every item is handmade from scratch using traditional knotting techniques and plenty of care and patience. We can make jewellery to order if you have specific bead/material requirements, please contact us. This included changing materials on items you have seen on our website, adding/subtracting beads, bead type/style or even if you have some crazy idea that you haven't seen before, just get in touch and we will do our best to make it possible and give you a low cost bespoke service. Any special orders will be confirmed by yourself before purchasing. 

 

Materials Used

We do not use plastic beads and thread in any of our products, though some of our beads and threads have been treated with varnishes, waxes, polishes, paints or dyes. We do use small amounts of glue to secure some of the thread ends if needed and recyclable mailing bags to cover our delivery boxes to ensure your item reaches you in the best possible condition. We have tried to reduce our usage of plastics wherever possible and continue to offer our guarantee for the peace of mind of our customers.

Most of our jewellery is manufactured with premium quality cord with a high wax content. This cord is of a very high quality and the wax it contains is used to preserve the dye colour from fading and prevent threading. Due to this high wax content, the cord will feel waxy and stiff, however once worn for a week will naturally wear down and feel softer but still help retain it's strength and colour. You may wear your jewellery in the shower/bath but please be aware that by doing so may reduce the life of your jewellery and we cannot guarantee any items from colour loss and are not liable for any bleeding onto other fabric and garments you may wear. Although we have never had any complaints due to colour transfer, we would recommend trying to keep your jewellery as dry as possible to reduce any risks to your clothing.

The knotting used for the adjustments on your jewellery may be stiff for a little while but will loosen over time. We recommend not using the findings to adjust your jewellery for the first week or so until the knots loosen slightly, you may need someone to help you adjust the cord at first so you don't slip the double knots on the tie ends.

That's why we offer a free 30 day repair/replacement guarantee if your jewellery has any manufacturing faults. If you do experience any faults with your jewellery or your not satisfied, please get in touch. We will do everything we can to make sure you are happy shopping with us. We recommend sending us a photo of the defect so that we can either arrange a repair or replacement depending on the fault.

Payment

We accept payment by Paypal or Cheque. Please email us with your order, once we have confirmed the order with you, we shall send you an invoice for the order via PayPal or email if you wish to pay by cheque in the post. Please contact us for further details of your order requirements.

 

Delivery and Packaging

​

You will receive your order 1st Class Delivery by Royal Mail. We do not usually ship recorded delivery for single items as our packaging dimensions are designed to fit through a letter box (180mm x 115mm x 25mm) so when your postie arrives they can just pop it straight through, no going to the delivery office. We ship all of our items within 48 hours of cleared funds, safely tucked up in a natural jewellery pouch, jute tied authentic New Forest Elf tag, all boxed and weather proofed so you can be reassured your item arrives in perfect condition. We refrain from writing addresses on our boxes so you can reuse them or gift wrap them if you've bought it as a gift.

New Forest Elf supply wholesale stock to shops within the UK. We do require minimum order quantities in order to take advantage of these discounts. Please get in touch to get a quote and a lead time for your requirements.

New Forest Elf supply shops on a Sale or Return basis. We have a contract which we can email to you if you are interested in stocking our products. Stock is supplied to you at no cost to yourself and you will earn a commission upon successful sale.
